Hello and welcome to the August 2020 recap! I'm sure we've got a lot of familiar faces reading tonight, faces who've returned for the very recent Survival wipe - it's nice to have you back! As usual the Fruitservers gears have been operating smoothly and plenty of sneaky surprises are being worked on by the wonderful staff team. I might have a chance to share some spoilers, let's find out.

Fruitbowl News

★Survival Wipe
FruitSurvival very recently had a successful map wipe, it's been very exciting seeing so many old faces return to experience the fresh map! As with every map wipe there will be some hiccups and bumps along the way, be sure to report any issues and issues to staff as soon as you come across them. I wonder who'll be the first to reign on both /mctop and /baltop!

★Bug Fixes
Virtual chests on Survival and Skyblock were causing some undue headaches for a short while, these have now both been rectified across both servers. Rejoice! A number of things have been getting addressed on Pixelmon by Benjabot_, a summary will be provided in the next weekly post and updates are always provided on Discord (make sure you join if you haven't done so already!). It's very important that bugs are reported as soon as possible so they're addressed in timely fashion by our wonderful developers.

★Pixelmon Perks
FruitPixelmon's donation store has seen multiple additions throughout the month, most recently we've had larger rare candy packs added amongst a couple of QoL perks thrown into the mix. FruitPixelmon's donation store is quite unique compared to most, we're still on the lookout for perk ideas that won't completely ruin the experience by making things too easy - hit us up on Discord with your feedback!

★Donations
Donation goals: achieved with plenty leftover to pour into more of H1N9's super secretive, ambitious, insane ideas. What am I referring to? Unfortunately I can't divulge any of that just yet, but make sure you're keeping tabs on discord and the website to ensure you don't miss out on anything juicy!

★Vote Competition
Reminder to everyone that votes are tallied up for the post a few hours before the end of the month so sneaking in a couple of votes right at the end may not help. Props to everyone for keeping voting as competitive as it has been, looks like everyone is eager to win themselves a voucher! Well done to Atinev and TimelessKings on securing equal 1st, and osky4 coming in a close 3rd! As expected voting is incredibly competitive now that there are four sites to vote on daily.

★Build Competition

Very pleasing to see the quality entries for the August Build Competition, well done to Atha_nasia, Sandsmoon, and SacredShad0w! We've got a very interesting theme for you next month, get ready for it! September's Build Competition theme will be Sky Wars! The best entries in this competition will more than likely be utilized over on Skyblock with the winners' names being plastered on it - you could become famous for your builds!

Competition Rules

• The build is limited to 200x200 in size, we'd suggest marking out these dimensions beforehand. There is no height limit.
• The build must follow the theme - Sky Wars!
• The build must be completed by 11:59pm 29th September, 2020 (AEST)
• You are permitted to work in teams of THREE (3) at most! Prizes will be split accordingly.
• All entries must be built on the Creative server.
• As cool as pixel art is, this isn't the place for it.
• Don't copy another person's work, BE ORIGINAL!

Entry and Prize Structure
A forum thread will be made where you can submit your entries as well as find out what the prize structure will be. To make things easier for everyone, please only submit your entry on the prize structure thread. Lazy attempts will receive a substantially smaller prize, you have been warned! Remember - 15 quality entries and the prizes will increase!

Top Players

FruitServers is an amazing community because of the people that are a part of it. Every month one player and one staff member from Survival, Skyblock, Prison, and Pixelmon are selected and acknowledged for their contribution to the server, whether it be ingame or behind the scenes.

Player of the month Survival - sharksy. Sharksy is an active and friendly face in the community who is always helping to make Fruit Servers a fun place to be, from helping players when asked and building community farms to just having a chat in game, it has been a pleasure to spend time with sharksy this month. Thank you for being a wonderful member of the community. ~Ahtnamas80

Player of the month Skyblock - SpecialDirt. Whether you're here for the gameplay or the community, you know SpecialDirt's name! She has consistently provided us with laughs, motherly insight, and great deals for months, and we're pleased to finally reward her for it. She really is special! ~Gylfmeister

Player of the month Prison - Shakoda. Even if you don't play on FruitPrison, you'd know Shakoda's name. His reputation as a fiercely loyal Prison player precedes itself, we've had the pleasure of witnessing his growth during his lengthy tenure on the server. We look forward to rewarding that loyalty, thank you Shakoda.

Player of the month Pixelmon - Scoffi. One half of the dynamic duo that is Enchies x Scoffi (Scoffies? Enchoffi?), you're guaranteed to have a laugh while he's online. Scoffi is always willing to offer his knowledge of Pixelmon to any who may need it, and is a pleasure to interact with even during our quieter hours. Well done Scoffi.

Staff of the month Survival - WittyQuip. Anyone who has taken the time to run around our new spawn can clearly see the hard work Witty puts in to anything she does.  So many hours went into building the new spawn and the results are amazing!  Thank you Witty for everything you do. ~Ahtnamas80

Staff of the month Skyblock - Rappart. One of the most friendly faces on the server, Rappart has shown endearing support to the skyblock server and its players, and has truly outdone himself this month with the positive energy he brings not only to the team, but to the entire community. Well done Rappart! ~Ascacos

Staff of the month Prison - Brockchoy. Young Brockchoy dedicates as much of his free time as possible while juggling the many responsibilities that come with being in school while holding a part-time job. His efforts have not gone unnoticed as he strives to continually bring exciting new parkour builds to the server as often as possible. Keep it up Brockchoy.

Staff of the month Pixelmon - TimelessKings. Let us look beyond that questionable skin for a moment and acknowledge TimelessKings for their contribution to Pixelmon since joining the team. You can always count on Timeless to provide the best advice on all things relating to Pixelmon, keep it up Timeless!

Survival, Skyblock, Prison and Pixelmon are lucky to have such strong moderating teams, however we are always accepting applications for all of our staff roles. Our wonderful Event and Build Teams in particular are still looking to grow so if you'd like to be a part of something special do consider looking into these roles.
