HAPPY NEW YEAR

How time flies when you are having fun!

2022 was a another fantastic year on Fruit Servers, we have so many memories of all the amazing times we shared, as we farewell to another year it is fun to remember some of those memories we created.  The Fruit Servers community came together for our annual Fruitlympics, where we saw a lot of great team work and community spirit, with Prison taking home the gold, and setting a new record for winning Fruitlympics four times in a row!  There was a flurry of creative fun on the Creative Server when everyone flexed their builder muscles and entered the server Build Comp. We saw many great new players join the community, and welcomed many new staff members, including two new Community Managers, LeRothy on Prison, and Nebula_ on Pixlemon.  We also said a sad goodbye to some much loved staff as they moved on to the next big thing in their lives.

On Survival we eagerly awaited the 1.19 update, excited to see the new biome and welcome FROGS to the server.  We enjoyed coming together twice a week for event nights, and saw many new events along the way.  There were many opportunities to win great competitions with mini build comps like the recent Tree Decorating comp, H1's Cake Shop, our first ever Escape Room! and big special event areas like The Grotto and Fruitoween Street.  We started the year with a fancy new spawn, then shortly after experienced The Great Data Loss of 2022.

On Skyblock we launched our very popular mob fishing giving players the opportunity to get new mobs on their islands. We also saw the Ender Dragon descend on us for the very first time when we held our very first Dragon Fight. We had a shiny new spawn built, and saw the additions of the 1.19 update, which gave us new blocks to play with. We also enjoyed many fun event nights together, and gave our very best to win some points in this years Fruitlympics.

On Prison we launched our new Monthly Parkour, with everyone jumping in to make it to the end each month, as well as our KitPVP.  We saw the very first players complete all ascension levels and finally complete the full Prison journey, which was great timing as we also saw the closure of Prison 1.0 and are now excitedly waiting for the next chapter (make sure you read the message from LeRothy below!)

And on Pixelmon after much waiting we finally got to experience the 1.16 update, which gave us the chance to explore all the new features that came with it, along with new spawn that showcases some of the beautiful new blocks we have.  Our team has worked very hard on bringing new experiences and events to the server, with things like the new maze event, and we battled rival trainers in many a pokebatte as we trained our pokemon to reach their absolute best!

It really was an amazing year, and one thing is for sure, there is lots of exciting things coming your way on Fruits in 2023!

Prison Updates

Hey Prisoners! As many of you are aware, Prison has been down for some time now. We would have liked to get more information to you sooner about what has been happening but we don’t want to release anything just yet. Our team has been hard at work completely redesigning our Prison server from the ground up with all new gameplay mechanics and so much more I cannot wait to share with you! I do however have some amazing things to announce right now!

Prison will be hosting a closed beta for players to come try, test and give feedback along with suggestions on features before we fully launch! We will be having an application process anyone can take to have a chance of joining our closed beta testing team! We are not only wanting people who have been around the fruitbowl for a long time and have played our old Prison style, but also players who have never experienced our Prison server before. I have already been in contact with a few prominent Prison community figures and have fast tracked them through the process so if that is one of you lucky people, please do not worry about applying. You can apply through this link https://forms.gle/puZNzcnb1DZNsfaVA and if you are accepted, I will be in contact with you in the coming days. You only have 2 days to apply before we close applications so be sure to get in quick!

I would also like to shout out to all my staff, developers and builders who have already collectively put over 1000 hours into this huge project and I could not have done anything without their support and willingness to help. With everything nearly being fully complete, you will be hearing a lot more from me over the coming weeks as we move to finally launch Prison 2.0! Thank you all for supporting us and I look forward to seeing some of you when our closed beta launches!

We've made it through the first 2 weeks of the map wipe! With many old faces returning and many new ones showing up!

We updated to Pixelmon Version 9.1.0 and had a massive overhaul of the in game Shop!

The backpack perk has returned to the store! Anyone who had previously purchased the perk should still have the perk, you can access the your backpack with /chest.

If you previously purchased a backpack and are missing the perk, please contact me asap!

Keep your eyes peeled for new perks in the shop coming very soon!

Tree Decorating Competition

Rudolphin993 has well deserved acknowledgement of our POTM for December. Rudolphin993 has made an exceptional impression on our community with thier friendly, positive and helpful actions ingame. They are always up for a chat on discord and also happy to help where they can. Thank you Rudolphin993 for setting the bar high for future POTM recipients.

Always gracing Skyblock with sty-le, Naneek has proven time and time again that he's consistent, kind, and never a boar (despite his appearance). We hope that this piggy is flying high going into the new year!

Si_Yeon_s is one of Pixelmons most faithful players, returning to every single map wipe. He is always willing to help out and have a friendly chat with anyone!

As a Community Manager, I am incredibly lucky to have such an amazing team around me who are always ready to help and support me in any way needed. A huge amount of work went into creating new and fun experiences on Survival, and it just would not be possible without the dedication and hard work the staff team put into everything they do. Thank you to all of you, Survival would not be the same without you!

Harriboo has stepped into the team with incredible fortitude, forging him into a staff member worthy of this award. Since joining, Harri has been receptive to feedback, outgoing and patient with every challenge put before him. Congratulations and well done, Harriboo!

As soon as Chickenjunior_1 joined the Event-C team on Pixelmon, he proved to be a key asset. Whether it be helping out running events or answering questions in chat, Chickenjunior_1 is always willing to help! Congratulations Chook!
