January Recap

Welcome to the January Recap Post! Plenty to go through so let’s get straight into it!

Survival has a new map! We have been working hard getting everything ready for this new map, and we are excited for everyone to see what we have in store. We have a lot of changes in store this map, so keep reading to learn about all the new things coming.

Gradual Map expansion - To help give everyone a chance to experience all the rare and unique places and resources our map has, we will be gradually expanding the size of the world border over time. To start with, the world border is set quite small, at 5000 xy to -5000 xy, this will be expanded by 1000 blocks every month at the start of the month, which means that at the start of every month there will be new chunks to explore, new ruins to find, new chests to loot.
Rule change - We have implemented a new rule.
Rule 13 - No handing out free items of value to other players

This has been done to help balance the economy, which is a difficult task, and is important as it ensures a fun and sustainable game play experience for everyone.

What this means - You are not allowed to give valuable items away, this includes (but is not limited to) having items in chests players can take for free, giving items to new players as they join the server. Public grinders are still allowed but any storage chests from drops need to be locked. Players can sell items on the auction house and in player chest shops. If you have any questions about this, please ask one of our friendly staff. (Remember, you are not allowed to make profit shops, so if you sell items, the cheapest you can sell them for is 10% below the sell price at warp shop).

Fruit Trees Expansion

Fruit Trees has had an expansion, and now includes Fruit Bakery! There are over 70 new recipes to make in the new multiblock structure - The Kitchen! Learn all about this expansion on the wiki, type /fruittrees in game for link.

Update from the Token Shop Team

Hey fruitsters! The Token Team here bringing you some news on /warp token. A fair few of you have been struggling to get a token item during a map due to the cost of the tools and tokens themselves. So we are going to make some changes to the shop. We will be lowering the cost of the tools significantly to account for the rarity of tokens. This may be a temporary change as this will be a trial run as such to see how this change will effect things in game.

Token Builder

On another note, we have been working on the Tokenbuilder (If you haven't figured it out yet this is its official name!) and come up with a refined way to select your tool, enchant and name it all in the one place. This will be a live test to see how it functions with multiple players using and interacting with the plugin - So there may be some bugs in its first instance. A big thank you to devfst for making this happen!!

Pixelmon Community Manager

For many months now, Ahtnamas and Asc have been handling Pixelmon as well as Survival & Skyblock. I am pleased to announce that Ascacos will become the new permanent Community Manager for Pixelmon! As a result, Asc will be taking a step-back from managing the Skyblock server. A new Com-M will be appointed there in the coming months.

Reminder to everyone that votes are tallied up for the post a few hours before the end of the month so sneaking in a couple of votes right at the end may not help. Props to everyone for keeping voting as competitive as it has been, looks like everyone is eager to win themselves a voucher! Keep up the great work everyone, please message a Community-Manager or H1N9 to redeem your voucher this month.

Fruitservers is an amazing community because of the people that are a part of it. Every month one player and one staff member from each server are selected and acknowledged for their contribution to the server, whether it be in-game or behind the scenes.

DG_AU has been an invaluable member of the staff team, he is hardworking, and dependable, and is always around to support the event team, helping to ensure the success of every event. Thank you DG_AU for your outstanding contributions to our community!

Gylfmeister has taken the "hold the fort" saying seriously throughout this month, making sure the server doesn't skip a beat when attention is diverted elsewhere. Gylf has always kept on top of her responsibilities, and lately has gone above and beyond. Thank you and congratulations, Gylfie!

The Prison team has been working tirelessly to bring Updates for the near future to the players, so that's why this month, the whole Team will be receiving the praise of SOTM. During my time off I asked them all to step up and they definitely did that. Thank you team and we all look forward to sharing what’s to come to Prison very shortly!

Sunto has been a huge asset to Pixelmon's recent recovery from data loss, and an angel to the community in helping get people back on their feet, fixing bugs and recovering donor perks. Sunto has really hit the ground running on Pixelmon! Well done and congratulations.

.eric12781 if a warm and friendly player, who welcomes everyone, tries to answer players questions and isn't shy to lend a hand to anyone. Players like eric help to create the wonderful atmosphere we have on survival! Thank you for being a wonderful member of our community .eric12781.

Nyb3019 - Nyb has been around for a long time and we're so glad that she's graced our server this map. Nyb embodies everything we value on Skyblock: she's sweet, inclusive, and fun, and she's wickedly smart. She is never afraid to chat or lend a helping hand, and interacting with her is often refreshing. She always brightens our day. Well done, Nybbles!

Swoppa is a well known member of our Pixelmon community. Often hosting their peers with a Meltan box and giving out tips. Swoppa has been a fabulous addition to our Pixelmon family. Thank you for your efforts this month.
