March
Welcome!
Goldsta here bringing you another monthly recap. The month of love brought us plenty of fun events and prizes being handed out left right and centre. As we're getting closer and closer to Easter, staff have been working hard to make sure things run smoothly during March. Without spoiling anything, let's get straight into the recap!
Fruitbowl News
- Valentines Major Event
Following on from the past two major events (Halloween and Christmas), Cupid decided to show up during the month and hand out prizes to everyone who handed in the right items. Players were also given points for their efforts, with the winner of this event receiving a beautiful Razer Blackwidow Keyboard. Congratulations to Siel_Kosane, make sure you're around for all the fun events we're going to have throughout Easter!
- Donations
Once again you fruitsters have blown us away with your amazing support! Survival smashed its donation goal but Skyblock fell just short unfortunately. Let's make sure we pull off even better results during Easter!
- Voting Winners
Voting is a very simple way of showing the server your support, and you get rewarded for it by receiving keys to open super special crates in-game! Not only that, the 3 most dedicated voters receive donation vouchers at the end of each month which they can use to spoil themselves (or others)! Please note that these vouchers do NOT count towards your donation total.
Well done to these dedicated voters!
- Build Competition
The staff were pleasantly surprised to see the amount of entries we received this month for the build competition. It's great to see players participating, things have become much easier for you guys since you've been given world edit access. Reminder that these vouchers can be used on any of our servers (Survival/Creative/Skyblock) however they will not contribute to your donation total.
Moving forward, the build competition theme for the month of March will be PvP Arenas! Players were very excited at the thought of their build being featured at spawn during November's build competition so we're letting you know from now that if your build is spectacular enough, we will be happy to host events on it!
Competition Rules
- Build must be finished by 31st March.
- Players are restricted to working individually.
- Build must be completed in the Creative Server.
- Do not build chestrooms, spawners, massive farms etc. We want creativity, not everyday things.
- Only one entry per individual.
- No pixel art!
- Keep redstone minimal if you have to use it.
- Do NOT copy anyone else's builds, not even ones you find on Google images!
Top Players
Fruit Servers is an amazing community because of the people that are a part of it. Every month one player and one staff member from both Survival and Skyblock are selected and recognized for their contribution to the server, whether it be ingame or behind the scenes.
Player of the Month Survival - Darkkronz. Dark has very quickly become well known on the server. So you might be wondering what impressive feat he accomplished to become more popular. The answer to that is....he has been digging. A lot. Yep. Oh he's also super friendly to everyone and a lovely individual to interact with! It's mainly the digging though. If you're nice to him he might show you the massive underground space he's opened up! In all seriousness, well done Dark!
Staff of the Month Survival - Mimosa2. Mim has taken time out of her day, every single day, to be online and assist everyone who needs help. She has shown dedication and commitment from the moment she joined the team, and has definitely stood out throughout this month. Congratulations mim, well deserved!
Player of the Month Skyblock - SunoKelly. Sunokelly consistently works to ensure his fellow skyblockers are kept happy. Always willing to assist players without ever asking for anything in return, Suno is an excellent example of an outstanding player deserving of this special award. Well done SunoKelly!
Staff of the Month Skyblock - SweeterThanSugar. Sweet has once again won this award for his consistency in serving as a role model for everyone on Skyblock. There is little that I can say here that hasn't been said before, Sweet is friendly to all he interacts with, efficient at solving issues, and is more than deserving of this month's special award. Well done Sweet!
Beyond the Bowl
As we're well into the new year people are on their way back to school/uni/tafe among other things. This means players and staff alike are finding themselves tied down with other priorities, which means some valued members of the community have had to step down from important roles. As always, this means there are vacancies to be filled in the Mod/Event-C/Builder roles and we are going to be accepting applications throughout the month.
If you feel like you meet the criteria for these roles, I'd strongly encourage you to apply. If you're unsure of the criteria at any point in time, please feel free to ask staff members to clarify things.
That's the end of another monthly post, I hope you all enjoyed!
I'll see you all online
