October Recap

Welcome to another fruity month of the year! Join me as we reminisce and celebrate the exciting and busy month of October, and get a sneak peak of November!

With the new month upon us that means we have some fancy winners for our competitions that were active during the Spooky season. Our Spooky Slayer Competition within the Halloween Planet was a tough battle but our Top 5 were:

Congratulations to our Winners of the Slayer Competition. Mystic_Hawk also won this months Event Wins and has been granted a token item of their choice!

With the ending of our Halloween area, we're excited to announce that the mobs in the halloween planet will be coming to the PVP Area at Spawn! Craft three weapons, including two swords and a Crossbow. We're also super excited to introduce two new craftable armour sets:

Outlander Set

The Outlander set bonus will give the player permanent night vision and take 30% less damage at night

Craft the advancement shards and upgrade the armour to unlock the increased set effects!

Gate Seeker Set

The Gate Seeker set bonus will give the player extra luck for those mob drops, 2 extra hearts of health and permanent night vision

Craft the advancement shards and upgrade the armour to unlock the increased set effects!

We hope everybody has been enjoying the new map on Skyblock! Resets always come with their challenges and delays, but I’d like to thank everybody for their patience and understanding.

Updated Cards

With the help of our friendly neighbourhood ellenox and her little helper Ronkley, we have a brand new series of Plant-themed cards for this map! We know everybody has been eagerly awaiting the Cardager’s return, and now you can get access to a bunch of rewards every week!

If you manage to collect all 10 collectibles from either the Very Rare or Legendary set, you will be able to trade them for either a custom Trident (Very Rare Reward) or a custom Elytra (Legendary Reward).

Fruitoween has come to an end, we hope you all enjoyed the spooky season! Staff worked very hard to put together all our frightening fun activities, so a huge thank you to everyone involved in helping get everything ready in time!

Fruity Murder Mystery

H1’s killer has been found thanks to our fruity detectives on Survival! Congratulations to KawaGuardian and jlawillis for correctly identifying both the Murderer and Murder Weapon and winning themselves a Fruit Token! You can still unravel the mystery of H1’s death if you haven’t already at /Warp Cluedo.

Loweya shared the best motive for H1’s death and have earned themselves a Fruit Token! If you want to know who killed H1 and how, as well as the best theory behind the death of H1, see the lectern in front of the Cluedo Mansion!

Fruity Parkour

We ran our first Parkour Competition during Fruitoween, with three difficulties available for players to try their skills at, with a token up for grabs for each person at the top of the leaderboards. Congratulations to Mystic_Hawk who had the best time for the easy parkour, and StayToasTi who logged the best times for both the medium difficulty and the hard difficulty, with StayToasTi being the ONLY player to reach the end of the hard course!

Ahts Annihilation Area Returns

Ahts Annihilation Area will be making a return in November, so time to sharpen those swords and start polishing your armor! We are going to change things up a little this time. On Saturday 4th November new areas will be opening, you have a week to practice using this new arena. On Sunday 12th and 19th we will be running a tournament where you can battle against other players for the title of PVP Champion, earning a rare chat tag in the process. During the practice week you will have the chance to submit ideas for a special kit that will be used during the tournament. Keep your eyes open for a forum post to submit your suggestions for this new kit, with the suggestion with the most votes/reactions being the one that will be used during the tournament.

Reminder to everyone that votes are tallied up for the post a few hours before the end of the month so sneaking in a couple of votes right at the end may not help. Props to everyone for keeping voting as competitive as it has been, looks like everyone is eager to win themselves a voucher! Keep up the great work everyone, please message a Community-Manager or H1N9 to redeem your voucher this month.

Fruitservers is an amazing community because of the people that are a part of it. Every month one player and one staff member from each server are selected and acknowledged for their contribution to the server, whether it be in-game or behind the scenes.

Since joining the events team, Starwolf has worked tirelessly to help keep everything organised and running smoothly. Star was also involved in all the fruitoween prep, and is always there to help out with anything that is needed. Congratulations Star, and thank you for everything you do.

Gylfmeister has been monumental this month in keeping the great content coming for the community through Halloween and our recent reset. In my absence, she has had a lot of responsibility and pressure placed on her to hit deadlines and ensure successful releases of new activities with the assistance of the staff team. Gylfmeister has excelled and made everybody, especially myself, proud. Congratulations and thank you Gylfie! - Asc

RebornIV has been a dedicated member of the staff team ever since he joined the team. From helping with building and hosting our events, to providing the server with new stuff to do, he's always there to make sure everything is running smoothly for our weekly events. With his new friend in the Event-C role Reborn has shown great leadership in showing WolfyGrrl the ropes of the event-c role. Congratulations Reborn and I look forward to your future contributions to the server.

Vipersmile has been a wonderful member of the community this month, and has shown a real interest in helping to make Survival a fun and engaging place for everyone. As well as being a friendly and helpful player, they have put together mini games for others to enjoy. Congratulations viper, and thank you for helping to make Survival a fun place to be vipersmile!

ChaoticMushroom has only ever been a joy to interact with. They are always chipper and have a positive outlook. They are generous - whether it be in time, knowledge, or items. Lastly, they consistently brighten our days by being approachable. As a chaotic mushroom once said, "Helping people feels good," and we're glad to have someone like that on Skyblock.

FaultyAirlock has been an amazing help throughout the past month! When he's actually around on the server and not being AFKLock he is always there to help new players with their journey through the Prison experience. Friendly to all and always there to help staff out when we need something tested or changed. Thank you for your efforts throughout the month and the Prison team look forward to your contributions to the server in the future.

Fruitservers is lucky to have such strong moderating teams, however we are always accepting applications for all of our staff roles. Our wonderful Event and Build Teams in particular are still looking to grow so if you'd like to be a part of something special do consider looking into these roles.
