Goodbye September, hello Spooktober!

Boo! Did I scare you? Welcome Fruitsters, to the September recap. We're now through three quarters of 2018 and as we approach the tail end of the year, our staff teams are working frantically behind the scenes to ensure everything is prepared for both Halloween and Christmas! Make sure you say something nice and wholesome to your favourite staff member next time you see them! For now though, I'd recommend finding yourself a comfy seat before we embark on the monthly recap.

Fruitbowl News

Now that everyone has had some time to acquaint themselves with this monster of an update, I'm sure we're all starting to appreciate just how much of a monumental effort would've been required to update everything. Prison has very recently been opened back up for players to explore however there will still be bugs that need to be addressed. This is where we're going to need your help. Any bugs you encounter while explore should be posted in Fruit's discord - specifically the #feedback channel.

Fruitsters Crate
Rejoice, you can finally make use of those precious Fruitster keys you've kept locked away for so long now. The Fruitsters crates have been updated ever so slightly so be sure to check out /warp crates and see for yourself as soon as you can!

School Holidays
Holidays are here for most of you and our humble event team have been brainstorming new ways to keep you lot entertained. I'd recommend being online as often as possible because you just don't know what spontaneous event they'll decide to run if enough players are on. Be sure to throw your event ideas at them as well!

Donations
Another solid month for both Survival and Skyblock - thanks to everyone who continues to contribute to the server's upkeep! Within the month of October a fancy new addition to the server will be unveiled and it's all thanks to the continued support of all the Fruitsters. Give yourselves a pat on the back!

Voting Competition

Reminder to everyone that votes are tallied up for the post a few hours before the end of the month so sneaking in a couple of votes right at the end may not help. Voting has become insanely competitive as of late. Everyone is eager to win a vote voucher! This month's top three spots belong to Hammertime9999 who topped the list, along with vic61 and DiamondMaster98 who finished equal second. Keep it up Fruitsters!

Build Competition

Unfortunately we were left with no choice but to cancel last month's build competition due to some important plugins not yet being updated to work with the latest update. "But Goldsta, can't players just build without world edit?" Absolutely! Sadly many of our most talented Fruitsters are also lazy and will refuse to work without world edit. Over to Ravioli to talk about this month's theme!

Something scary is coming to fruit…… It’s all your builds for this month’s Build competition!!!! This month is October and so we are asking for some Halloween spooky scary builds, we want them so scary we will have nightmares! This competition will have size restrictions so be sure to pay attention to the rules!

Competition Rules

• The build must be a Maximum of a 100 x 100 blocks. To stay within this boundary, we suggest creating a border to work within.
• The build must have something to do with Halloween! Make it scary!
• Build must be completed by October 30th 8pm AEST.
• You must work alone, if you do not you will be disqualified.
• All entries must be built on the creative server.
• As cool as pixel art is, this isn’t the place for it.
• Don’t copy another person’s work, whether it be from in or outside of the server. BE ORIGINAL!
• We need at LEAST 5 people to participate to hand out prizes, so spread the word!
• This build needs to have been started and completed within the month of October.
• Completed entries that don't earn a prize will net the builder a token on their server of choice

Top Players

FruitServers is an amazing community because of the people that are a part of it. Every month one player and one staff member from both Survival and Skyblock are selected and acknowledged for their contribution to the server, whether it be ingame or behind the scenes.

Player of the Month Survival - whitecuriouslion. A long time player who is a pleasure to interact with whenever they're on. Whitecuriouslion's friendliness and her outgoing attitude have earned her this month's special award. Well done!

Staff of the Month Survival - DiamondMaster98. Even though he's one of the fledgelings of the team, Diamond has proven that he has what it takes to be a leading member of Survival. Keep it up Diamond!

Player of the Month Skyblock - KillSwitch84. Next time you see KillSwitch online you should greet them and ask to visit their island - I've heard nothing but praise for it! More importantly, people have been praising KillSwitch himself for his jolly demeanour. Well done!

Staff of the Month Skyblock - AnAlphaLonzy. Lonzy has excelled in his role throughout the month and has proven himself to be an invaluable member of the Skyblock team. Lonzy's work as a role model to the newer staff has earned him this month's special award. Well done!

Survival, Prison, and Skyblock are lucky to have such strong moderating and build teams, however we are always accepting applications for both of these roles. Our Pasta Squad continues to grow with Amayonnaise and PaperCactus22 joining the tight-knit group, however the event team is still looking to grow so if you'd like to be a part of something special do consider looking into this role.
