August Recap
Written by Goldsta

Welcome to another monthly recap!

It's good to be back, huge thanks to the team for covering the monthly posts while I was away. As my favourite month of the year comes to an end, most of you are preparing for your school holidays which are just a few short weeks away. Things will be slightly different in this post, I hope you guys enjoy it!

Fruitbowl News

Token Shop!
Over on survival we're going to trial a new system which is going to work like the Cardager over on skyblock. Over at /warp tokens you can exchange tokens for ultra rare and unique items. How do you earn these tokens? Currently the only method is by winning events, however in coming weeks we're going to introduce more methods of earning tokens.

Introducing - Trollsounds!
Want to get under someone's skin in a harmless yet amusing way? Purchase the new trollsounds perk from the vote store and you'll have that power at your fingertips! This new perk will only be available via the vote store, be sure to save up your points diligently so you can mess with people!

Shop Purchases
It's becoming the norm now to crush our goals on both survival and skyblock. Amazing work everyone, your continued support means we can bring amazing things to you much quicker than we had planned. (Including a massive thing later this year - ssshh H1 didn't edit this post at all.)

Voting Competition
Reminder to everyone that votes are tallied up for the post a few hours before the end of the month so sneaking in a couple of votes right at the end may not help. Thanks to everyone for voting as often as possible, and congratulations to these winners who've nabbed a voucher for themselves!

Build Competition
As stated in the rules of the build competition, we need a minimum of five entries for winners to be announced. This time around we did not receive enough entries. Special mention to leefnut for his fantastic build, you will get several of our awesome new tokens for your efforts! The theme for September's build competition will be Futuristic! Returning to the simple themes for this month, we want to see what your vision of the future looks like - in block form!

Competition Rules
- Build must be finished by 29th September.
- Players are restricted to working individually.
- Build must be completed on the Creative Server.
- Do not build chestrooms, spawners, massive farms etc. We want creativity, not everyday things.
- Only one entry per individual.
- No pixel art!
- Keep redstone minimal if you must use it.
- Do NOT copy anyone else's builds, not even ones you find on Google images!
- Minimum 5 entries. There will be no winners announced if we don't get at least 5 entries!
- Builds need to be started and completed within the same month. You cannot use assets from previous entries.

Top Players

FruitServers is an amazing community because of the people that are a part of it. Every month one player and one staff member from both Survival and Skyblock are selected and acknowledged for their contribution to the server, whether it be ingame or behind the scenes.

Player of the month survival - PenguinLover_. Frequently around to spam funny looking faces in chat or arriving fashionably late to events, PenguinLover_ has stood out this month as an exemplary player.

Staff of the month survival - everyone! This time around I couldn't pick a single staff member to give recognition to as so many of them went above and beyond throughout the entire month. So this is a shoutout to the survival staff team - thanks for being amazing!

Player of the month skyblock - D2xx. Always welcoming in chat and more than happy to take time out to help players, D2xx has definitely earned it this month. Well done!

Staff of the month skyblock - lilshortyrae. Second month in a row winning this award, fantastic work shorty. Skyblock appreciates your efforts, keep it up!

Beyond the Bowl

Survival and Skyblock are lucky to have such strong moderating and build teams, however we are always accepting applications for both of these roles. At the moment we aren't accepting applications for event-coordinator as the role is undergoing revision. Think you have what it takes to join one of these fantastic teams? Submit an application at

Along with the addition of the token shop, we're going to be adding more things that players are keen on seeing. If you have ideas or recommendations, feel free to pass them onto staff or submit a thread about it on the forums.

That brings us to the end of another recap.
I hope you all enjoyed, and I look forward to seeing you in-game!

End of Post.
