On Wednesday, January 23rd, we brought Maze Race back for another fantastically fun night! Aside from some small lever mistakes (silly Mayo!) we held quite a few rounds and handed out prizes galore! Our stunning athletes for this event were…

On Sunday we also held a pop-up Hide and Seek event! Feathers went flying as Staff scrambled their eggs trying to find a good hiding spot.. But alas, they were still spotted by our detective players! The MVP for this event was AnUmbreon, finding a total of 7 staff over just four rounds! What a sleuth! Our other winners were

We hosted two events on Monday, Bingo and the Maze! Our lucky Bingo winners were Dory7, Steaks_28, _Tony, Illuumii, Panglosic, and iMoosh. Our master navigators this week and winners of the Maze, were iMoosh, blueberryviolet, Pixerative, Johnito0, and _ciekga!

Prison is certainly bringing great things to the table, with more hidden mines on planets 6-8 now ready for you to find, and a brand new Planet 9 released!

Staff Updates

Unfortunately, Prison also had to say farewell to one of its staff members this week. LifeOfBlu stepped down from Moderator +, however we won’t be forgetting all the work and effort he’s put into Prison during his time as staff. Looks like there’ll be big shoes to fill!

And who else to fill them but Jirilla? Entering the Mod Squad as a Trial-Moderator, we’re sure they’ll be an amazing addition to the team!

Server Announcements

Today there was a big update to the McMMO plugin.

As we had an existing MCMMO installation, we have retained the old levelling system, meaning that the level cap is 1000 still - not 100.

The dev has also overhauled all the skill levels, and made reaching high levels harder than it was previously.  Staff have tested the perks we offer that multiply McMMO xp, and they are all working, it just takes a bit longer now to level up.

I have been working super hard on the lag issues that survival has been having.

As you know several months ago we did substantial performance improvements which has meant that the server can handle 60 online fine. The number of players online after this reset has well and truly exceeded what I was expecting. I will hopefully have an update in a day or so on the lag being experienced.

At some point in the future there will be down time during the very early morning for Fruit (hopefully just survival) but potentially the entire box. There will not be a lot of notice for the maintenance so please check the website for more information.

Build Competition

As 1.13.2 has caused issues for our Creative Server we will not be hosting a build comp this month! Although we now have World Edit back we are going to wait and iron out all of the issues before we host our next Build Comp. But don’t feel disheartened, keep practicing your building for our next Build Comp, or to try out for our fantastic Build Team!
