February Recap

Welcome to the February Recap! We've had a blistering start to the year with a slew of important changes which means plenty to talk about in this little recap. Easter is also approaching a little too quickly for our liking so our staff teams have already started working on getting things ready! Buckle up for another exciting monthly recap.

FruitBowl News

Survival News
A few words from the wonderful Survival Community Manager, Ahtnamas80 - "Today we celebrated Staff Appreciation Day, so I would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to the FruitServers moderators, event coordinators and builders. They show amazing diligence, loyalty and dedication in their roles, and my job would be so much harder without being able to depend on their constant support.  Thank you for everything you do, from the bottom of my heart."

Skyblock News
A few words from your interim Skyblock Community Manager, me! Massive props to the current crop of Skyblock staff who've made my role just that little bit easier. I'm proud to be working with such a loyal, dedicated group who do nothing but spread good energy to everyone they interact with. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone maintain the momentum so the rest of the year goes smoothly. I hope you guys enjoyed Staff Appreciation Day, you guys deserved it.

Prison News
A few words from your Prison Community Manager, me again! The Prison team deserves nothing but praise for the impressive way they conduct themselves; each of them show maturity beyond their years and are a pleasure to work with. Proud of the driving forces behind FruitPrison's growth - keep it up team. I hope you guys also enjoyed Staff Appreciation Day, you deserved it.

Donations
Massive effort from everyone to smash donation goals on all three servers, thank you to everyone who contributed to make February another successful month. If people have suggestions for things they'd like to see on the donation stores, we'd love to hear about it.

Voting Competition
Reminder to everyone that votes are tallied up for the post a few hours before the end of the month so sneaking in a couple of votes right at the end may not help. Props to everyone for keeping voting as competitive as it has been, looks like everyone is eager to win themselves a voucher! Congratulations to Shakoda on snagging 1st place, blank124 on 2nd place, and raths001 on 3rd place - message me via the website or discord to redeem these vouchers.

Build Competition
After a lot of hassling from players, we've decided to bring the Build Competition back from the dead and let you guys have another crack at it. Once more we'll be revamping things a little to spark a little more interest in what has always been one of the most loved aspects of the Creative Server. The theme was something we debated about for quite a while, however we've gone with something a little more common so we can ease into things. Without further ado...

The theme for March's Build Competition will be Aquatic!

Competition Rules

  • The build is limited to 100x100 in size, we'd suggest marking out these dimensions beforehand.
  • The build must follow the theme - Aquatic!
  • The build must be completed by 12pm 31st March, 2020 (AEDT)
  • You must work alone, you will be disqualified if others help you.
  • All entries must be built on the Creative server.
  • As cool as pixel art is, this isn't the place for it.
  • Don't copy another person's work, BE ORIGINAL!

Prize Structure

  • Less than 5 entries = A token on the server of your choice along with varying cash prize (20k~150k)
  • Between 5 and 10 entries = Standard vouchers for top 3, varying cash prize (50k~250k) for everyone, and 2 tokens for each entrant on the server of your choice.
  • More than 10 entries = Standard vouchers and an extra plot for top 3, varying cash prize (300k) for everyone, and 3 tokens for each entrant on the server of your choice.

As we're trialling a new prize structure, we're keen to hear people's thoughts and feedback. Looking forward to seeing renewed interest in the build competition!

Top Players

FruitServers is an amazing community because of the people that are a part of it. Every month one player and one staff member from both Survival, Skyblock, and Prison are selected and acknowledged for their contribution to the server, whether it be ingame or behind the scenes.

Player of the month Survival - DrMikan. DrMikan has very quickly become a crowd favourite on discord, she's a joy to interact with whenever she's on and tries to go the extra mile to help players whenever she can. Well done DrMikan!

Player of the month Skyblock - COOKlEMAN. A very friendly face on Skyblock who also happens to be a talented builder, COOKlEMAN has stood out throughout February in particular. Keep up the great work!

Player of the month Prison - Shakoda. One of FruitPrison's most loyal names, Shakoda has stood out for months now so this little accolade is somewhat overdue. Thank you for your continued loyalty to FruitPrison Shakoda.

Staff of the month Survival - Pyrotato_. A few more words from the wonderful Ahtnamas80 - "Pyro has been a stand out staff member this month, he is always around helping the players and supporting his fellow staff members.  He is truly an asset to the staff team! Thank you Pyro."

Staff of the month Skyblock - The whole team! It was a massive struggle picking just one person to recognize this time around, given how exemplary many of the staff have been throughout the month. The entire Skyblock team deserves a pat on the back for weathering the storm that was February, well done team.

Staff of the month Prison - Buguser. Our revered Mythic Mobs expert has been hard at work throughout February making everyone's experience just a little bit smoother. While he toils away on many more exciting projects, I think it's about time we send some appreciation his way. Well done Buguser!

Survival, Prison, and Skyblock are lucky to have such strong moderating teams, however we are always accepting applications for all of our staff roles. Our wonderful Event and Build Teams in particular are still looking to grow so if you'd like to be a part of something special do consider looking into these roles. Think you have what it takes to join one of these fantastic teams? Submit an application at www.fruitservers.net/staff

As mentioned in previous months we always look forward to hearing feedback from you guys about possible improvements. If you have ideas, please share them with us either through the website, in-game, or via discord. We want to know what you think!

Get excited, many more exciting things happening throughout March.
