October Recap
Written by Goldsta

Welcome to another monthly recap!

We are very quickly reaching the end of another year, and things are about to become quite hectic as we prepare for the Christmas holidays! We hope you enjoyed all of the fantastic Halloween events that were hosted over the course of the past couple of weeks. More on that soon, let's dive right into this monthly post!

Fruitbowl News

Special Event
On survival and skyblock the wicked witch has shown her grotesque face once more, offering points and unique items in exchange for special items you can craft using custom recipes. Whoever has the most points by the end of the event will win themselves the grand prize, which is a $150 EB Games gift card this time. This event will come to an end on Monday 6th November, so make sure you keep grinding and fight for that top spot.

Holiday Events
We've only just finished our Halloween events but we're already planning some amazing things for you guys over the Christmas holidays. Just like in the last monthly post, I can't go into detail about what we'll have in store but you'd better be excited about it!

Shop Purchases
A wonderful effort from everyone who donated. Survival and Skyblock both smashed their goals once again, and we're excited to show you guys what that money has been going towards. Eventually.

Voting Competition
Reminder to everyone that votes are tallied up for the post a few hours before the end of the month so sneaking in a couple of votes right at the end may not help. Thanks to everyone for voting as often as possible, and congratulations to these winners who've nabbed a voucher for themselves! (The votes were tallied up a little earlier than normal due to circumstances)

Build Competition

We explored a different type of theme for October and it's very unfortunate to see that we didn't get the minimum of 5 entries for people to receive vouchers. However one player's remarkable build has earned her 5 tokens anyway as the build looked absolutely stunning and had many, many hours put into it. You can check out Cupid's entry at /plot home Cupid 3 over on creative.

We have decided to forego the Build Comp for November due to the disappointing lack of entries. We may consider revisiting it during December however there are no guarantees.

Top Players

FruitServers is an amazing community because of the people that are a part of it. Every month one player and one staff memberfrom both Survival and Skyblock are selected and acknowledged for their contribution to the server, whether it be ingame or behind the scenes.

Player of the month Survival - Sekban. Always sociable and willing to participate in everything Fruitservers has to offer, Sekban has stood out in October and has earned this award. Well done Sekban.

Staff of the month Survival - Apocalypsing. One of the newer additions to the team, Apocalypsing has made a smooth transition from player to staff member and has done a fantastic job of filling in the boots he was given. Good job Apocalypsing.

Player of the month Skyblock - SpookyNyb. One of the more generous, kind faces of skyblock, Nyb is always giving without asking for anything in return. His exemplary attitude earns him this award. Well done Nyb.

Staff of the month Skyblock - The entire team. The Hogwarts themed events simply wouldn't have been such a success were it not for the combined efforts of everyone on the team. Give yourselves a pat on the back, you guys did an amazing job.

Survival and Skyblock are lucky to have such strong moderating and build teams, however we are always accepting applications for both of these roles. At the moment we aren't accepting applications for event-coordinator as the role is undergoing revision.Think you have what it takes to join one of these fantastic teams? Submit an application at www.fruitservers.net/staff

As mentioned last month we always look forward to hearing feedback from you guys about possible improvements. If you have ideas, please share them with us either through the website, in-game, or via discord. We want to know what you think!

Time to wrap up this post.
Be prepared for all the exciting stuff coming over the next few months!
