October

Welcome!

Good day to you my fruity audience and welcome to the September recap. We've had a fairly busy month as we've reached the awkward time of year where everyone has begun preparing for festivities already! Yes, that includes us, and you'll find out more if you continue reading. Take a seat, grab a drink, and have a read of this monthly update.

Fruitbowl News

-1.11 Snapshots
As most of you are aware, 1.11 snapshots have been released and an array of fun things are being added. However we also know the main question on everyone's mind; "Will the server be reset when updating to 1.11?" The answer to that, as confirmed by the owner, is no. So you can rest easy knowing your hard work won't be wiped out to make way for the next major update.

-Halloween Hype (Event-C's)
Well, well, well... who do we have here.. Just Meloona of course! As you all know, October is approaching.. which means, halloween is approaching! Which means... halloween events!? Yes! The build team have worked extremely hard just for you guys to bring you some fun filled events that will hopefully spook the fruit out of you!
Now, we aren't going to spoil the fun! You will just have to wait and see what creepy events we have planned. We hope they don't scare you away :(
Hope you all have had a wonderful month and an amazing one ahead of you! I know you all have been patiently waiting for halloween to finally be present, well.. wait no longer! Woo hooo!

-Player Statistics

Survival: 9440 Players / Skyblock: 1110 Players
Remarkable statistics, good job everyone!

-Voting Winners

Voting is a very simple way of showing the server your support, and you get rewarded for it by receiving keys to open super special crates in-game! Not only that, the 3 most dedicated voters receive donation vouchers at the end of each month which they can use to spoil themselves (or others)! Please note that these vouchers do NOT count towards your donation total.
Well done to these dedicated voters!

-Build Competition

For the month of September the chosen theme was 'World in a Jar'. As entries had to be done in the survival and skyblock world, we felt it was only fitting to allow the reward vouchers to contribute towards players' ranks. The entries certainly didn't disappoint, here are this month's winners!

Following tradition, the theme for the build competition this month will be Halloween! The competition will be held in the creative world, which means vouchers for this month's contest will NOT be counting towards your donation rank. Everyone is encouraged to enter, and the best entries may be used for events in the near future!

Competition Rules

- Build must be finished by 31st October.

- Players are restricted to working individually.

- Build must be completed in the Creative World.

- Do not build chestrooms, spawners, massive farms etc. We want creativity, not everyday things.

- Only one entry per individual.

- No pixel art!

- Keep redstone minimal if you have to use it

Prizes - These will not count towards your rank.

1st Place: $20 store voucher

2nd Place: $15 store voucher

3rd Place: $10 store voucher

How to post your Entry

To enter this month's competition, please leave a comment either on this post or one of the following weekly posts stating so, or use a warp if you're building on someone else's plot. If you have run out of warps, please let a staff member know.

Vouchers

If you've won a voucher, please speak to  H1N9 or a Community Manager about redeeming it. If you're really confident in yourself and you think you can nab a voucher in the next month, you'd be happy to know they do add up.

Top Players

Fruit Servers is an amazing community because of the people that are a part of it. Every month one player and one staff member from both Survival and Skyblock are selected and recognized for their contribution to the server, whether it be ingame or behind the scenes.

Player of the month Survival - _Vex__. From the moment she joined the server, Vex has been pleasant to all she has interacted with both in-game and on teamspeak. And I promise you, her loyalty to the flopshop had nothing to do with her winning this award! A pleasure to interact with at all times, Vex has certainly earned this special award. Well done Vex!

Staff of the month Survival - Melongrip. Performing superbly as a Moderator and also helping out the build team at every opportunity he gets, melongrip's value as a leading member of this community should not be understated. Always willing to take time out of his busy schedule to help those in need, Mr. Melanie has stood out amongst our group of fantastic staff members for this month on survival and is most deserving of this award. Well done melongrip!

Player of the month Skyblock - Teterine. There's very little I can say here about Teterine that hasn't already been said. An outstanding member of the skyblock community and one of the numerous friendly faces you are bound to see online throughout the day, Teterine has worked hard on maintaining his image as a loyal player who is always willing to lead by example. Well done Teterine!

Staff of the month Skyblock - SweeterThanSugar. Sweet here has definitely made his presence known amongst teamspeak and the skyblock community throughout September. Going above and beyond in his efforts to maintain a safe environment for all, Sweet has most certainly earned this special award for his efforts throughout September. Well done Sweet!

Beyond the Bowl

As mentioned in the intro, we've reached that part of the year where everything is becoming hectic as people are preparing for the festive season. This means players and staff alike are finding themselves tied down with other priorities, which means some valued members of the community have had to step down from important roles. As always, this means there are vacancies to be filled in the Mod/Event-C/Builder roles and we are going to be accepting applications throughout the month.

If you feel like you meet the criteria for these roles, I'd strongly encourage you to apply. If you're unsure of the criteria at any point in time, please feel free to ask staff members to clarify things.

This concludes the September monthly recap.
I hope you had as much fun reading this post as I had writing it!
