After a week off, we’re back with the weekly post!! October is here, so the Halloween party has started on the FruitServers! Let’s get into it!

Server Announcements

Our wonderful and busy Owner, H1, has got a few announcements about the current state of MCMMO, Virtual Tools and School Holidays:

“The swap over for /redeem with the MCMMO points has been delayed slightly due to the issues we experienced this week with crashing on survival. I will keep everyone updated and I am hopeful that we might not have to change plugins.

Geek has rolled out more updates for VirtualTools - these will be on Survival after restart and should hopefully return functionality to all tools that people have. This includes brewing stand, enchantment table, etc. Once the bugs have been sorted out, we can then focus on being able to import existing /chest data from Skyblock - in the meantime however, we may look at enabling it anyway so that player's can use it.

Most states have another week of school holidays left! We have events on different servers most nights of the week for you to all enjoy run by the amazing staff, event managers and builders.

Survival Events - Wednesday and Friday

Skyblock Events - Saturday

Prison Events - Tuesday and Sunday”

In addition, daylight saving has started for some states in Australia. This means that the start time for Events might be an hour earlier for some players.

Halloween is here everyone, and the spawn has had a makeover to celebrate it. Check it out and be sure to say hello to Goldula the Spider.

Staff Updates

We’ve had quite a busy fortnight with regards to staff on the survival server. Firstly, huge congratulations to kuote for her promotion to Mod. On Friday we welcomed three new T-Mods to our team. Joshiie_, yesk and SoFriendly are our fresh meat, so make sure to say hi to them and help them feel welcome.

Unfortunately, we have had to say goodbye to a few of our staff members in the last couple of weeks. One of our Admins, SouthernMama717 and two of our mods, Crimpy and LifeOfBlu, have all stepped down from their positions. From all of us, we would like to thank our departing staff members for their hard work and wish them the best for the future.

Events

On Saturday we celebrated Do Something Kind Day. We would like to personally thank everyone for making the server wholesome and a wonderful place to spend time with friends!

To celebrate Halloween this month, we will be hosting a Skin Contest on Thursday the 31st. A forum post will be created later this month with more details regarding the categories and rules, so be on the lookout for that.

Our Survival staff thought you might enjoy a little treasure hunt! If you think you have good hunting skills, keep an eye on the forums for more information.

The first of our Halloween themed wordsearches has been completed. This weeks theme was HALLOWEEN COSTUMES!!! We had quite a few entries for this week!! The winner for this week is 2blacksox! Congrats!!

We will be putting up a new word search at the event board this week with another Halloween theme!!. Come and check it out for your chance to win a token.

Now moving along to our weekly events!

On Wednesday we had a slime destroying game of Spleef. Yesk, palrpoo, Viper_AU, BronoNZ, ARDXAM, Spanna81, purgatoryPanda, Opalz and Kuote all wriggled their way out of sticky situations.

On Friday we played a relaxing game of Musical Chairs. Whilst some of you were showing off your excellent dancing skills, On1ine, rxmune, palrBOO and Bayleecraft took victories.

We have started a forum thread for event suggestions! Do you have any awesome event ideas we can use on the server? Do you think we could run a certain event differently? Please let us know!

We run events every Wednesday and Friday night at 8pm AEDST but also run pop up events throughout the week so keep your eye out for those!

Staff Updates

Lots of staff updates over the past couple of weeks! We welcome a familiar face back to our team: Congratulations Toxic_Tricks on his Trial. Telibboy and Daavie are looking suave with their new Mod+ ranks! Well done! And lastly, another sad farewell this week! We’re saying goodbye to PandaZack, though we still hope to see him around. If you see him, say hello!

Events

We had so many winners this week, so thank you to everyone who participated! It’s always fun to see some new faces winning Games Night.

Our first event of the night was, as always, Bingo. It’s everyone’s favourite! Woohoo! Our lucky winners this week were ExplosiveBanger, Bearryyy, TheDusty1, FBG_Vashta, Zeusiee, PotatoJacket, and _Ravioli. Congrats!

Next up, we played a quick round of Apple Hunt, with a total of nine out of ten heads being found. Our best scavengers were Bearryyy, Metazard, D2xx, Bayleecraft, kipkangaroo, _Ravioli, and ExplosiveBanger.

We introduced our new Amazon Maze to the mix this week, with Metazard, Netzaltali, Ascacos, Joshiie_, and LJ203 reaching the middle first. Outstanding work, guys!

And lastly, we garnished this Saturday Games Night with a healthy dose of Sky Wars! The first ten winners announced in chat were Netzaltali, Xtalize, Killer_Byte22, NotChungus, FBG_Vashta, WP_Wraith, ExplosiveBanger, Joshiie_, kipkangaroo, and PotatoJacket.

PRISON

Hi friends, and welcome to the prison portion of the post!

No staff updates this week.

Tuesday night started with everybody’s favourite, Bingo!! Leontae, yesk, Netzaltali and Bayleecraft all shouted bingo! To conclude out event night we played a few rounds of Spleef. Netzaltali, Opalz, Bayleecraft and ExpressoYourself all took a victory.

On Sunday, we also decided to start with some Bingo. Shakoda, tunrida, ExpressoYourself, wp_wraith and Synless all were blessed by the RNG Gods. We also played some Spleef+ after the bingo rounds. ExpressoYourself, Synless, Opalz, wp_wraith, Netzaltali, ARDXAM and yesk were the last players surviving!!

Build Competition

September's build comp theme will be Halloween! "But Goldsta, Halloween is in October you dope!" This time the build comp will run over the course of two months and the size of your build will be limited to an entire plot! Looking forward to seeing what people can come up with, there is no excuse for not having enough time to complete this build.

Make sure that you submit your builds on the forum post - If we do not receive at least 5 entries the build competition will be canceled!

If you have suggestions for themes for future build competitions, please let us know in this forum thread.
